It's been awhile...

Hey all!  It's been awhile since I have last blogged, so I wanted to do a catch-up of what has been happening.

Student teaching is AMAZING!  The kids are lovely, the school is absolutely adorable, it's just great!  I am learning a LOT, and I think the kids are learning a lot as well!  It's been just great!  We are on Easter Holidays now - and I figured it would be perfect time to catch up on things like homework and my blog... However, I find that it is already packed with things that need to be done!

I met a few people here, which is really nice.  One of the teachers at the school introduced me to her kids, and a Scripture teacher at the school introduced me to her nephew.  So I am getting to know a few people around here, which is really nice.  I went to church with some new friends this past Sunday, and it was great!  I felt like I was right at home!  At church they were talking about a Youth Conference called Presence...  It starts TODAY, and guess who is all signed up?? ME!  :)  I am very excited, it is a HUGE conference, lots of people, which means I will get to meet all sorts of new friends!  It is happening for the next four days, so I will be busy with that... After it is finished I am heading to my host family in Gossford. I am VERY excited to be staying with them, they are an amazing family!  I will be sure to put some pictures up when I get the chance!  They live out in the bush, BEAUTIFUL view from their house... They are a beautiful family, and I am lucky to be staying with them!

I will also be heading back to New Zealand (or some other country) in the very near future because I have to renew my visa..  I am hoping to apply for a holiday work visa so I am able to work here!  I could really use the money, especially with the Australian dollar rising high above the US dollar.  I saw on the news today it was like $1.05... yikes!

Anyways - the sun is shining and I am still having a great time here.  I have a lot of work to catch up on, so expect a thorough blog in the next couple weeks, with pictures too!!! :)
